Mini Paintings for Sale: The Complete Subject Guide to Jay the Painter Miniatures

Jay the Painter has 85 miniature originals. Every one is 2.44 inches. Every one is $40 with free shipping. Every one is a genuine caulk texture original — the same raised-surface technique as his full-size paintings, scaled down to a format that fits anywhere.

Here's the complete subject guide to what's available.

Floral Miniatures

Jay's floral minis are his most popular category — and the most versatile as gifts. The subjects include:

Hibiscus — blue hibiscus with green leaves, pink pansy garden, purple dahlia burst, turquoise bloom. The hibiscus minis carry the same bold color and dimensional petal forms as Jay's full-size hibiscus paintings.

Daisies — daisy close-up (white petals, yellow center), three daisies on blue. Clean, bright, universally appealing.

Wildflowers — wildflower field with turquoise sky, poppy field mini, mountain river with wildflowers. These work well for people who love the outdoors or have a connection to meadow landscapes.

Roses — red rose swirl, crimson swirl bloom. Bold, saturated, high-contrast.

Landscape Miniatures

Jay's landscape minis capture the same depth and atmosphere as his full-size landscapes — forests, mountains, fields, paths.

Forest paths — autumn forest path, emerald forest path, autumn tunnel path, blue birch forest, autumn birch grove, forest tunnel, colorful forest path. These are Jay's most meditative subjects — the sense of walking into a space, light filtering through trees.

Mountains and fields — lavender mountain mini, golden wheat field path, rolling green hills, colorful valley landscape, blue ridge lines. Wide-open subjects that work well in smaller rooms where a full-size landscape would overwhelm.

Barns and cabins — red barn, red barn with flag, blue barn with grass, cabin path summer, farmhouse clothesline. Farmhouse and country aesthetic — particularly popular in kitchens and dining rooms.

Bird Miniatures

Jay's bird minis are some of his most detailed small-scale work.

Blue jays — blue jay portrait, blue jay close-up. The blue jay is Jay's signature bird — the color palette (deep blue, white, black) is striking at any scale.

Roosters — golden rooster, dark rooster portrait, rooster close-up bold, red rooster on light blue, caulk cock miniature. Jay has painted more roosters than any other animal. The rooster minis range from bold and graphic to painterly and detailed.

Other birds — Baltimore oriole (orange and black, striking contrast), parrot eye (extreme close-up, vivid color).

Abstract and Wave Miniatures

Jay's abstract minis are his most experimental work — pure color, texture, and form without a representational subject.

Wave series — midnight wave spray, teal spiral wave, blue wave fan, ocean barrel swell, cobalt wave crest, deep curl wave, seafoam surge, double wave collision, teal barrel roll, deep sea split, jade green ripple. These are among Jay's most technically impressive minis — the caulk texture creates real dimensional wave forms at 2.44 inches.

Fire and energy — fire and thunder, fire wave curl, solar flare burst, ember swirl vortex, yellow-black eruption, dark fiery horizon, lava sunset, molten gold heart burst, flaming heart.

Color and pattern — color grid, primary burst, blue-yellow texture, grayscale abstract with red, bold blue letter on fire, dark burgundy gold swirl.

Animal and Other Miniatures

Cats — kitten with blue eyes. A single subject, painted with the same dimensional texture as Jay's other minis.

Fish — little fish (red fish on canvas). Simple, bold, works in any room.

Eye of Horus — Egyptian motif, gold and black. Distinctive and unusual in the collection.

Watermelon — mini watermelon slice on turquoise. One of Jay's most cheerful subjects.

Cactus — mini cactus, black-and-white cactus. The black-and-white version is particularly striking — the texture reads as sculptural relief without color.
