Fire Sky Birch

Tall dark birch trunks rise straight up through the entire height of this 8"x10" canvas, their surfaces built up in thick raised caulk ridges that catch gold leaf highlights along every edge — the texture so dimensional that the trunks look like they were carved from the canvas rather than painted onto it. The background is pure fire: a sweeping gradient that begins in deep crimson and blazing orange at the base, climbs through amber and gold through the middle, and opens into a wide band of electric turquoise at the top — the whole sky glowing as if the forest is lit from below by something enormous and alive. Thin bare branches spread outward from the trunks in every direction, their delicate lines scratched through the wet caulk in fine strokes that catch the light differently than the thick trunk ridges beside them.
