Thousands of fine parallel caulk ridges sweep across this 8"x10" canvas in sweeping arcs of deep red, burnt sienna, copper, gold, and blazing yellow — the texture so dense and precise that the surface looks like the cross-section of a living geological formation, every ridge casting its own shadow into the channel beside it. At the center, a glowing white-blue core burns through the warm tones like the eye of something volcanic, the cool light radiating outward and warming through pale blue into cream, then copper, then deep red at the edges. The upper left corner erupts in chaotic crimson and black — raw, aggressive caulk marks that contrast sharply with the disciplined parallel ridges that dominate the rest of the composition.
