Blue Ridge Mountain

Blue Ridge Mountain is all depth and drama. A vivid, almost electric green meadow sweeps across the foreground — every blade of grass built up with thick, swirling texture you can feel from across the room. Behind it, a dark line of evergreens stands at attention, and above them a massive blue-grey mountain rises and dominates the canvas, its surface alive with ridges and shadows. The sky swirls overhead in white and teal, heavy with atmosphere. This is a painting that puts you somewhere — standing at the edge of a field, looking up at something enormous and permanent. At 14" x 18", it commands any wall it's on. Jay painted one. There is no second one.
